Green and Glass Single Release show at Rockwood 2!
We are releasing the first single from our upcoming debut album this month on October 17th at Rockwood 2. The song is one of mine called “14 hours” and here’s a little something i wrote about it:
“Fourteen Hours” is about dusk in a small town, when the outlines of objects become a little bit less clear, and the line between what is really seen and what is imagined becomes blurry and unsteady. It’s about the excitement, unease, and wonder that follows a hint of the unknown. The lyrics, co-written by Sam Decker and Lucia Stavros, are vague and impressionistic, painting scenes that are touched with some hidden presence. Beginning in an ethereal floating texture, almost on another plane, the listener is snapped back to earth by the entrance of drums and bass. The song moves through thick textures of synth, horns, and harp before coming to a ghostly ending that echoes the main theme, just barely audible. Imagine yourself driving down a road you have been on many times, but the landscape is somehow different, and the sky is an impossible color that could exist only in a dream.
Come to the show to see if that rings true! We play at 10:30pm.
