Good intentions

Instrumental Emo-Rock band. I write some of the music, and then we arrange it all together. Debut Record “Devotion Comes Easy to me” available on all the usual platforms.

Solo Saxophone

Solo improvised music for the Saxophone, with various amounts of production and studio composition. First record released on Eyes & Ears, recorded in one marathon day at Figure 8 Studio in Brooklyn.

Sfyria Trio

Free improvising trio with Charlie Kirchen (bass) and Matt Caroll (drums). Most recent release is with Astral Spirits, documenting a live improvised concert at the Rockefeller Cathedral in Chicago. Check out the new album here.

Shrove

Quintet music written by me, first record released in 2020. My first (and so far only) real attempt at a “jazz” band. Nestling into a spot between untethered improvisation and simple structures and materials from the early 20th century classical world.

About

I am a Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist, composer, improviser and teacher. I graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music in 2010 after growing up just north of Chicago, and have been, mostly, living in Brooklyn ever since. I play in a large variety of bands and projects, some that I lead, and many of which are collaborative.
